1 〔眠っている人を〕 rouse sb out of bed [from sleep]; shake sb awake; 《英》 knock sb up.

●寝ている人をベッドから叩き起こす rouse a sleeping person out of bed.

●突然乱暴に寝床から叩き起こされた. Suddenly she was rudely roused from her bed.

2 〔寝ている家の人を〕 knock at the door and awaken the people inside.

●夜中に叩き起こされる be roused from sleep in the dead of night.
